At The Route 66 Foundation, we believe in creating a world where young adults and the planet can thrive together. Our mission is to empower young people through transformative experiences that build mental and climate resilience, foster self-awareness, and inspire positive change.
We do this by creating immersive learning environments where personal growth and environmental action go hand in hand. Whether through clean-up projects, community living, or eco-conscious construction, we guide young adults to reconnect with themselves, others, and the natural world.
During this journey, participants:
Engage in clean-ups and environmental restoration projects.
Learn practical skills like budgeting, cooking, household management, and teamwork.
Reflect on personal patterns and develop stress management techniques, inspired by mindfulness-based cognitive tools (MBCT).
Participate in community living, balancing personal growth with shared responsibilities.
Develop leadership, planning, and collaboration skills.
